The “Why” Behind Tiny Spoon

The best part of starting and growing a business is getting to start with a blank piece of paper and create freely. 

And as we come up on our 8 year anniversary of creating tasty morsels, I’m reflecting back on the “why” behind Tiny Spoon. 

There are many places you can go, and services you can hire, that are transactional. You can have a dog walker come at the same time each day and walk your precious pup, Spot. The dry cleaners will fluff and fold and landscapers will (thankfully) mow the lawn on the hottest of days. All these helpers work for you, but they don’t know you. They give you time, but it’s rare that you get “real” quality time outside of polite check-ins.

At Tiny Spoon, we spend a lot of time talking about relationships because we think that’s where the “special sauce” is. To us, there’s nothing better than pulling up a stool in the kitchen, steeping in solid conversation with someone fab and grabbing a bite of that *perfect* thing you didn’t know you wanted mingling with your taste buds.  

When you connect with us, you’re inviting a new friend into your home - and we’re thrilled to meet you right where you need to be met. 

There’s no need to feel alone because you’ve got an ace in your back pocket - weekly time with your chef who has spent a chunk of the week dreaming about ways to make your life special. 

Do your ears ever start burning? Because if you’re on our calendar we talk about you.

If you’ve got a big life thing or something going on, we might be talking about you a lot! We’re invested in you and what’s going on in your life. We’re right there with you celebrating graduations, first days of school, birthdays and even date nights! 

We love listening to you and helping make every day simpler and filled with tangy tidbits. 

Is there a last minute birthday party? Did you forget your anniversary? Are your kids home from college and you need WAY more food for hungry young adults? We’ve got you - and we probably have suggestions for memorable menus & gifts too. 

Our passion for our clients goes beyond just knowing what soup or salad you’d most like! 

What’re we getting at here? 

YOU are our “why”. Every day, every move, every decision revolves around our Tiny Spoon family. 

And man, we’re grateful you’re here.  

In our opinion, our community is the bees knees, the cat’s pajamas, the tip tops (dare we go on?!)

So what do we have up our sleeves for you this summer...

Summer picnics! 

Your chef has a super posh picnic basket with adorably fancy trimmings for all nestled inside and we’re dying for you to take it for a test drive.  

We’ll coordinate one of your meals to be picnic-perfect and then YOU get to go somewhere fun… Wingaersheek Beach, anyone? The Arboretum? Blue Hills? Watching the swan boats on the Commons? 

You could even wear something fancy and buy white gloves, don a fake accent and be all “Bridgerton” or something… kind of sounds like something I would do.

There’s perks of being on the inside and we can’t tell you what that will be next, but there’s more summer fun for you, friends. ❤️
