Chef Chase loves most about cooking is the ability to bring joy and comfort to people through food. Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, food was always at the center of family gatherings, and his love for cooking began in the kitchen with his mother. She taught him many of the recipes and techniques he still carries with him today, as well as the importance of tasting, adjusting, and truly understanding food.
He enjoys cooking a wide variety of cuisines, with Caribbean cooking being a particular strength and an important part of his background. He’s always eager to explore new cuisines and learn about the cultures and traditions behind them.
A defining chapter of his culinary career was his time at Tatiana, which was named the No. 1 restaurant in New York City for two consecutive years. During his time there, he had the opportunity to cook for an incredible range of guests, including musical artists, former presidents, and Michelin-starred chefs. The experience helped shape his approach to cooking, hospitality, and the importance of creating memorable experiences for guests.
Outside of the kitchen, he enjoys discovering new restaurants, spending time with friends, watching sports, and occasionally playing video games. He’s also a lifelong soccer player and proud dog dad to a Goldendoodle named Voltron.
Jamaica is one of his favorite places in the world, thanks to its culture, food, and hospitality. Japan is next on his travel list, inspired by his fascination with Japanese food culture and its precision and respect for ingredients. And if you ever need to find him, there’s a good chance you’ll hear him say, “What’s good?”
