At Tiny Spoon Chef, we love creating meals that serve as the backdrop to new relationships, great conversations, and lasting memories.

Food is how we mark time, create ritual and make meaning. It is profoundly intimate, and universal. Food is the great unifier.

I created this company to connect families with deeply skilled Chefs. I am at the core, a problem solver, nourisher, and connector. Food is sacred, and when humans are supported by the ritual of food, our lives are elevated.

We are nourished.

The truth is, I never set out to build a business, it was a side passion that I loved.

It grew.

I hired.

We kept growing, organically.

Taking care of my team, and valuing them as co-collaborators is part of the fabric of Tiny Spoon Chef. Sustainability and quality of life for our clients, and our team is our compass. Today I get to match people with the right Chef for them, provide support, and ease the burden of their to-do list. I am a matchmaker.

I was born creepin’ in the kitchen. 🥄

My earliest food memories stem back to being a very tiny person at my Grandmother’s house in Upstate New York.

With fingers wrapped around the countertop and nose pressed into the edge, I remember watching her bake and asking her why and how everything worked.

My cousins and siblings were running around the yard and there I was – fixated on the kitchen magic. My bedside table has, for as long as I can remember, been buried in cookbooks (who needs novels?) that are read and cherished for their many inspirations. When I began to travel I proudly took cooking classes just about everywhere I’ve gone, and, from there, started to explore with my own ideas of fusion cooking and world influences.

Supporting your healthiest, happiest home is in our DNA.

Our small-but-mighty team’s inherent love of food and service brings something special to our clients and dear friends. We are a small, nimble, and creative team. This enables us to deeply support our clients and families.

Give me a call, let’s see what we can bring to your life.

Chef Janice is the heart, brain, and mother of Tiny Spoon Chef, she joyfully connects with new clients, personally!
