When I first joined Tiny Spoon Chef, I had no idea just how much this opportunity would transform my career and my life. As a personal in-home chef, I get to do what I love every single day. Creating incredible meals for clients who appreciate amazing food. What truly sets this role apart for me is the flexibility, the personal connections, and the massive amount of support from the Tiny Spoon team. It’s more than just a job, it’s a dream come true and a family I'm proud to be a part of.

In the traditional restaurant world, long shifts, late nights, and grueling hours are simply part of the job that all chefs sign on for. There’s a certain thrill in the fast-paced nature of a busy kitchen, but it often comes at a cost of burnout, exhaustion, and little time for a life outside of work.

Tiny Spoon Chef has redefined what a career in cooking can look like. The ability to have a Monday-Friday schedule has given me control over my work-life balance. I get to focus on my passion for cooking while also making time for myself which is something I’ve never thought possible in my previous industry roles. Whether it’s having the freedom to take on as many clients as I want or carving out time for personal interests, this flexibility has allowed me to thrive both professionally and personally.

One of the most rewarding aspects of this job is the deep personal connections I’ve built with clients. Unlike a traditional restaurant setting where chefs stay behind the scenes, this role puts me right in the heart of the home. I get to see the smiles, hear the stories, and witness firsthand how much joy a well-crafted meal can bring to a family’s table.

Every home I step into presents a new and exciting challenge. Some clients have specific dietary needs, while others are adventurous eaters eager to try new flavors. There are families who rely on me to bring ease and comfort to their busy schedules, and others who simply want to elevate their home dining experience. Every meal is personal, every menu is tailored, and every experience is unique.

I especially love when I get to introduce someone to a dish they’ve never had before. There’s something magical about watching someone take their first bite of a new flavor and seeing their eyes light up. It is why I do what I do. Food isn’t just about nourishment, it’s also about discovery, nostalgia, and connection. Being a part of those moments is what makes this job so fulfilling.
