Hi, I’m Chef Christos — but most people call me Toast. I’m a Brockton, Massachusetts native who fell into cooking almost by accident and never looked back. What started as a simple way to feed my dormmates during a year abroad in Europe quickly became a lifelong passion that reshaped my entire career path. Today, I’m a chef who loves bold flavors, unexpected ideas, and dishes that spark curiosity.

My cooking is driven by fearless exploration. Anthony Bourdain once said, “It depends how far into the funk zone you go,” and that philosophy guides everything I do in the kitchen. I’m at my happiest working with big, vibrant flavors, experimenting with new ingredients, and creating dishes that make people say, “I never would’ve thought of that.”
I’m a grill-first chef — give me an open flame, and I’m home. Whether it’s grilling branzino over an Argentinian gaucho grill, crafting barbecue that pairs perfectly with bourbon, or building charcuterie boards and oyster plates that feel like small works of art, I gravitate toward food that engages all the senses. My goal is always the same: to get diners excited about stepping outside their culinary comfort zone.
My journey into the culinary world wasn’t traditional. I switched my major from sports management to hospitality after discovering how much joy I found in cooking for others. From there, I trained in food trucks, catering kitchens, and eventually some of Boston’s top restaurants.
Some of the proudest moments of my career include three impactful years at Brockton Beer Company, where I designed and led the kitchen from the ground up and earned media recognition alongside my brother. Later, while managing at Sofia Italian Steakhouse, I helped the restaurant earn a “Best of Boston” nod in 2019. Along the way, I’ve cooked for state dignitaries, well-known writers, and even hosted events for Wu-Tang Clan — but the work that means the most to me is creating food that connects people.
When I’m not cooking, you’ll find me channeling my creativity in other ways — on the golf course perfecting my swing, producing music, or unwinding with podcasts, movies, and video games. I’m a homebody at heart, happiest spending time with my family, friends, and girlfriend, especially when great food is involved.
Cooking isn’t just a job for me — it’s a way of experiencing the world fully, with curiosity, intention, and heart. And that’s exactly the energy I bring to every dish I create.
"The fridge is stocked, and all we have to do is eat gorgeous healthy food and enjoy each other’s company."
