“I live, breathe, and dream food.”

“I am simply happy to express myself through art, and that I get to watch other people enjoy that art.” -Chef Simone

We couldn’t say it better ourselves, so we let the luminous Chef Simone speak for herself. As a Washington D.C. native her palate was trained to eat diverse cuisines since day one.

Chef Simone was a chef at the Ritz Carlton and became close to a few different VIP guests, including Jeremy Davenport, a wonderful saxophone player that lived in the hotel and performed in the lounge every weekend. Other VIP guests would specifically request her because they knew she would make it exactly how they wanted it.

Her artful attention to detail began at the age of 4.

She would grab her little step stool and stand next to her grandma asking, “What can I help you with grandma, is there anything you need me to taste”? She loved how the kitchen was like a symphony, pots & pans clinging, things simmering, frying, sautéing, something carefully being stirred to perfection.

She feels truly at home in the kitchen, it is her peaceful space, even if it is 1000 degrees and 100 things are happening at once, it feels like home.

“To be honest, I never stop thinking about food.”

Chef Simone once cried through an entire meal, it was as if a symphony was playing in the background each time she took a bite.

This is the level of passion we are working with! She graduated from The New England Culinary Institute and went on to cook for many celebrated chefs. She can set a table to perfection according to the event type, and for fun knows how to professionally fold napkins.

She earned several scholarships including from the CCAP and NAACP cooking competitions.

Chef Simone is studied in the art of French and Mediterranean cuisines and is a skillful baker. Notably, she recently assisted chef Katsuya Fukushima, in the opening and training of three new restaurants.

Chef Simone has cooked for:

Jeremy Davenport, Jose Adres, Al Gore, Jhene Aiko, Reese Witherspoon, Drew Barrymore, Chef Katsuya Fukushima, various basketball and football players, and more.

Fun Facts:

  • She is the mother of a 1-year-old male Yorkie named Rexx. His name is derived from her son's love of dinosaurs, specifically the T-Rex.
