Chef Terrance brings flavor, soul, and serious heart to the kitchen—along with a signature “All right, let’s hit it!” attitude that sets the tone for every meal he creates.
Born and raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland, Terrance’s love for cooking started at home, steeped in the rich aromas of his grandmother’s chicken and dumplings, fried cornbread, and soulful bread pudding. One of his most cherished culinary memories is recreating those very dishes on the line—phone in one hand, grandma coaching in the other—while being spotlighted as “Meal of the Week” during his first professional kitchen job.
His official culinary journey began with a twist of fate and a push from a mentor, Chef Kyle Johnson, who saw something in Terrance beyond the front-of-house role he held. That spark led to years in the kitchen at respected institutions like the Smithsonian Museum, Fannie Mae, the U.S. Capitol catering department, and more. With over a decade of professional cooking experience, Chef Terrance still credits his grandparents and mother for laying the foundation of flavor and care he brings to every dish.
From soulful Southern classics and bold Caribbean favorites to his appreciation for Japanese cuisine, Terrance loves blending traditions to create meals that make people feel truly seen and satisfied—especially those that reflect his Jamaican roots, like oxtail, rice and peas, and fried plantains. His favorite moment in the kitchen? That sizzle of oil in a hot skillet, egg frying for a perfect breakfast sandwich, and the quiet joy of knowing he’s right where he belongs.
When he's not behind the stove, Terrance is either spending time with loved ones, traveling, or belting out a tune—yes, he’s also a vocalist and a pretty handy guy when it comes to carpentry and plumbing. His heart belongs to New Orleans, a city that first captured his imagination with a McDonald’s spicy chicken sandwich and now keeps him coming back for the gumbo, spice, and magic.
