I'm born and raised in Jamaica, shaped by bold Caribbean spices, island traditions, and the kind of soulful comfort food that makes you want to lick the plate clean. Cooking isn’t just what I do — it’s who I am. It’s the rhythm, joy, and energy that anchor my life, and the thing that brings people together around my table.

My food is all about big flavor and bigger heart. Think smoky grilled meats, slow-simmered stews that hug you from the inside out, and spice blends that transport you straight to the islands. I live for food that feels alive — dishes that tell a story, spark a memory, or make someone smile before they even take a bite. Around here, everything is a little soulful, a little bold, and 100% flavorlicious.
My culinary path has taken me all over — from the open waters with Hornblower Cruises, to the kitchens of Le Parker Meridien, to serving as Executive Chef at a Harlem hotspot. One of my favorite career moments? Preparing a Mother’s Day feast for Chef Marcus Samuelsson and his wife — an honor I’ll never forget.
I’ve cooked for crowds big and small, including running the kitchen for a Google retreat (yes, the pressure was high — and yes, the food slapped). Every step of the journey has deepened my love for this craft.
When I’m not cooking, you’ll find me writing poetry (I’m a published author — my book Poetic Reverence is a piece of my heart), speaking to inspire others, or adventuring with my kids. We love biking, frisbee, and nature walks — anything that gets us moving and exploring together.
As for travel? The Caribbean will always have my soul, but Singapore is high on my “next stop” list for its food culture alone.
"The fridge is stocked, and all we have to do is eat gorgeous healthy food and enjoy each other’s company."

At Tiny Spoon, we spend a lot of time talking about relationships because we think that’s where the “special sauce” is. To us, there’s nothing better than pulling up a stool in the kitchen, steeping in solid conversation with someone fab and grabbing a bite of that perfect thing you didn’t know you wanted mingling with your taste buds.
