“You don’t really know someone until you share a meal with them.”

-Julie

Chef Julie joins Team Tiny with a pure love of food and the language of showing love through food. She has a keen eye for details and a drive to support passionate chefs to do what they do best!

Originally from Connecticut, she spent her young adult years in Southeast Alaska where she caught and ate a lot of salmon, herring roe (ask her about herring egg salad!), wild berries and game.

She comes from a long line of talented cooks.

You know you are loved if Julie bakes you her special cheesecake. The recipe came from her Grandma Edna who used to cook 2-3 cheesecakes a day, at home, for the family’s Italian restaurant in Queens, New York.

(Irish grandmother + baking prowess = gorgeous Italian cheesecake.)

She also has a weakness for Indian cooking, fostered by frequent travel to visit family in Delhi and Chennai. There’s always laughter when Julie’s at the table. The only thing better than a beautiful meal is one eaten in joyful company.

When not thinking about the next meal, she spends time with family, watches baking shows (obsessed!) and practices the flute– a Covid lockdown hobby that stuck!
